Vegetables


I was reading about the different health benefits of vegetables and other foods and found some interesting

Orange Foods -- Sweet potatoes, carrots, and pumpkin all contain beta-carotenes, a compound that helps prevent the loss of elasticity in your skin.

Olive Oil -- It's full of healthy dietary fat, making it a better option than butter and margarine.And don't just eat it, use it on your skin. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E, which can help your skin feel and look smoother.

Dark Chocolate -- The chemical compounds in dark chocolate- the darker the better- are known to lower blood pressure, which can lead to increased energy  production. " Dark chocolate, if consistently taken, can lead to higher metabolism and feeling younger, because you'll have more energy throughout the day"

Eggs -- A good source of protein and carotenes,eggs prevent the physical degradation that happens with age.

Berries -- All types of berries contain nutrients that help prevent cognitive decline. Blueberries are a particulary powerful antioxidant, and keep your mind young.

Fish -- Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fish are good for your skin and brain.

Leafy Greens -- Like the orange foods, leafy greens - think kale - are high in carotene.
